SEM-X RAY Laboratory

1. To carry out rock characterization analysis in genera, reservoir
• Micrology Composition (semi-quantitatively- qualitatively)
• The existence of mineral in rock namely as cement, alteration, matrix on framework type B porosity quality & its inter connecity, observe diagnosis event accured in rock and its affect to rock reservoir quality
• To find out elemental composition of rock observed with SEM

 2. To assist research activities beyond exploration group such as :
• To assist analyzing polymer, porosity on steel, fossil observation

 3. To carry out analyzing activities, such as :

• Semi-quantitative analysis of bulk minerals
• Semi quantitative analysis of clay minerals
• Geometry of pore system
• SEM core
• Rapid mineral identification

 For sample test, this lab is supported by equipment among others :

• Scanning Election Microscope (SEM) &
• Energy Dispersive X-Ray (EDX)
• X-ray diffraction (XRD
